We are excited to welcome two new paraprofessionals to our class!
Mrs. Pat Lovisek is returning from back surgery she had over the summer and Mrs. Brown is new to Cobb County schools.
It was great seeing so many of you last Thursday night at Open House.
In case you were unable to attend, here are some of the highlights!
Student Expectations:
It is our goal that all children will develop a love of learning. We encourage you to support this learning at home through questioning, active and imaginative play, and academic practice.
We expect that children come to school on time, and in their uniform ready to learn.
Children are responsible for their behavior. We will always work with both you and your child should any problems arise. However,no child will be allowed to interrupt the learning of others. Please help us teach your child to value the rights of others.
Parent Expectations:
Attendance: If your child is absent, send a note stating the reason upon your child's return to school. Please refer to the attendance policy guide lines concerning multiple absences. You will be notified if they become excessive and/or are unexcused.
Money: Send all money in a sealed envelope stating your child's name and what the money is for. We will use special envelopes for field trips.
Folders: Empty out backpacks daily and check your child's folder daily. Initial the behavior chart each evening but leave it inside the folder. Every parent should have read and signed the Powers Ferry behavior policy provided at Sneak A Peek.
Transportation: VERY IMPORTANT! Please send a note if your child will be going home a way that is different from the usual transportation. Please tell your child when you put a note in their folder. We are teaching them to be responsible for checking their folders in the morning when they come in and giving any notes to the teacher.
Label ALL lunchboxes and jackets.
Sign in for a visitor's sticker at the front office.
