This week we will be practicing asking questions / identifying main idea and supporting details in literature. On Friday we will have our first Reader’s Theater!

This week our focus letters will be Ff Gg Hh. We will practice sounds, brainstorm words and practice letter formation. Also ask your child about some of the books they are reading from their book boxes during independent reading time! Sight word focus: the, me, my Our study of shapes is going great! We have learned all about triangles, hexagons, squares, rectangles, and circles. This week our focus will be to analyze and compare 2-dimensional shapes. CCSS.Math.Content.K.G.B.4 Analyze and compare two- and three-dimensional shapes, in different sizes and orientations, using informal language to describe their similarities, differences, parts and other attributes In science we will be explaining 2 or more similarities and differences in animals using observable features. We will be reviewing that we are all writers, what to do when you think you are done, and how to plan a narrative story. CCSS.ELA-Literacy.W.K.3 Use a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to narrate a single event or several loosely linked events. |
